Mother Nature truly is incredible. It is simply a wonder to see the gorgeous crystals that are created within the Earth. As you dive deep into the world of gemstones, you'll begin to see that each crystal formation has its own special meaning. Today we're going to take a look at some naturally occurring crystal formations and what they mean.
Crystal Twin
Crystal twins occur when two separate crystals share some of the same crystal lattice points in a symmetrical manner. The result is an inter-growth of two separate crystals. Metaphysically, they are sometimes called soulmate crystals, tantric twins, or twin flame crystals. This formation is great for working through relationship struggles. They are also great for encouraging oneness and tolerance. Twins are great for two people working together towards a common goal. They are especially receptive to being programmed by two people at the same time.
Double Terminated Crystal
Double terminated crystals are frequently carved in making wands, however they do occur naturally. Double terminated means that there is a termination, or point, on either end of the crystal. Double terminated crystals are great for sending and receiving energy. They generate energy out of both points on either end. This makes them a great tool in activating crystal grinds and for creating sacred space.
Phantoms
Phantoms occur when something interferes with the growth of the crystal, sometimes this is the growth of another mineral. Then against the odds, the crystal begins to regrow. This creates a ghostlike inclusion which shows a former growth stage or period of development of the crystal. These crystals are great for overcoming hardships and obstacles. They hold a vibration of perseverance.
Enhydro
An enhydro is when a water bubble gets trapped within the crystal during its growth. This can occur in quartz, agates and chalcedony. The water inclusion can be stationary within the mineral or be on a tract, a pit within the mineral, allowing it to move around. Sometimes these water bubbles can also have carbon inclusions making them black in color. The water can be very old and more than likely very pure. These inclusions were formed millions of years ago when the Quartz was originally formed. Enhydros help us tap into this ancient energy. Its purifying energies are great for balancing the chakras and meridian systems. They are also wonderful for helping us balance our emotions, encourage empathy, and encourage spiritual growth.
Inner Child Crystal
Inner Child crystals occur when one quartz point grows into another separate quartz point. Sometimes a quartz point will grow completely within another quartz point. These crystals are excellent for inner child healing. They help address and heal past trauma.
Record Keeper
Record Keepers, sometimes referred to as trigonic record keepers, are perfectly shaped triangles on the face of a crystal. They can occur on quartz varieties, ruby, and sapphire. They may be either raised or indented on the face of the crystal. Sometimes there are numerous record keepers piled on top of each other and sometimes there may be just a single record keeper. Just as the name suggests, these crystals are believed to hold records, or have ancient information that has been stored into the crystal. To work with them you can set the intention of accessing that information then meditate with the crystal.
Lemurian Quartz
Lemurian quartz is identified by the lines going horizontally across the face of the quartz. These lines are called bar codes or stairways. These special crystals are believed to be encoded with information from the Ancient civilization of Lemuria. Lemuria existed at the same time as Atlantis. The Lemurian people are believed to have been a 5th dimensional race, dedicated to raising the vibration of Earth. Lemurian quartz are extremely high vibrational. It is thought that if you run your fingers over the bar codes during meditation you can access the information left behind by the Lemurian people.
