My handcrafted Beautyberry Bug Spray is great for camping or simply having fun in your backyard. This all natural formula is non-greasy. I use a witch hazel base and a variety of essential oils. One ingredient is particularly unique and quite important. Beautyberry leaf extract. American Beautyberry is native to the southeast coast of North America. It has long been used as a old time folk remedy to repel bugs. The Beautyberry leaf I use in my bug spray is wild crafted and the lemon grass is grown using organic methods on my property. In order to extract the oils from the plants each batch needs to sit for 3 weeks! Neem oil is another important ingredient. Cold pressed from the Neem Tree, this oil not only repels mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks- it does wonders for your skin! It is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal. This product works great to repel a variety of biting insects including mosquitoes, no-see-ums, gnats, biting flies, fleas and ticks. It's also great for your skin and offers relief for existing bug bites and minor scrapes and cuts. The witch hazel, neem oil, essential oils and vitamin E oil help make your skin soft and healthy!
While this product is safe for children, I would do a small test spot initially because some essential oils can be irritating to little ones.
